This page is dedicated to a compilation of 24 years of counseling, coaching, consulting, and training experience, starting with my work in the military in 2001. From administering sexual assault intervention in the Air Force in 2005 to getting my Ph.D. in Trauma & Disaster Relief, I have developed a passion and skill for working in government and civilian agencies and facilitating group coaching and retreats in order to combat trauma and its devastating effects. Furthermore, I am current with somatic and embodied training and consultation to continue the holistic healing work of trauma prevention and intervention for individuals, relationships, communities, and workplaces.

I experienced an extremely severe personal crisis in my life. I was devastated and felt alone. I had tried to talk to a few other people about the issues and felt like no one was really able to see my point of view and empathize with me at my current level of pain. I felt like most other people that I would talk to would try to “fix” me and show me what I could have done differently. I was starting to feel misunderstood and even question myself if any of my points of view were right or not. I talked to Faith about the issue and felt like she was the first person who could really see my point of view. She verified that I had indeed suffered a severe crisis in my life. It gave me the freedom to stop questioning myself. She validated my pain and gave me the freedom to mourn without any guilt. It was a very pivotal moment in my healing process. I feel that she is truly empathetic to other’s pain and it comes across in her sincerity when talking to her. I highly recommend Faith.

The counseling services provided by Faith have been life changing for me. I have a background in psychology and I have seen therapists in the past, but Faith’s approach is different in the sense that I am able to connect with her (she is easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor), I feel comfortable being completely open and honest during sessions (she is able to build rapport quickly), and most importantly she challenges me (she provides “assignments” or things to work on after the session). I am a survivor of sexual assault and for many years I blamed myself for things that happened to me in my past. I did not release that blame until I started sessions with Faith because she told me point blank, “It’s NOT your fault!” I also used to be a very passive or passive-aggressive communicator and didn’t even realize it until she brought it to my attention. She helped me identify when I lost my voice and provided me tools and assignments to help me become an assertive communicator. A Woman’s Healing Retreat
These retreats were an intimate healing time with women who were currently in romantic relationships, dealing with the 4 A’s (Affair, Addiction, Abuse, or Abandonment). While we took pictures together, I did not post those pictures to protect the identities of the retreat participants. I did not want to exploit their healing process at such a vulnerable time in their lives. We had a transformative time together with sharing, learning, supporting, teaching, and wine tasting; because who says healing can’t be fun! Many participants walked away lifelong friends; they still send me pictures of them hanging out and taking vacations with each other!
